Practical only if you plan on keeping it in one place and then moving it to maybe a storage closet in the same room. It is big and awkward and definitely not for moving around facilities or in and out of building. It collapses in width only not telescoping from top to bottom.
Return policy is horrible. Makes me go to Staples where I just bought one.

I use these (I have 2) to display large 30" X 40" gator board photos. The easel is sturdy & lightweight. And best: (for me) it has a shelf of approx. 2.5 inches so you can stack a lot of posters/pictures on it. The only con: you can't "shrink" it down as you can other easels, so it won't fit in my standard SKB carrying cases.
