It is lightweight and it's an easel. I just needed something I could use when I felt like painting elsewhere than my computer desk. (I made an easel for my desk.) And I needed it to be inexpensive. If I wanted a fancier easel, I would have bought a nice French Easel. Me, I am simple and just needed a place for my work.Although it does go short enough to work on my desk. It would only be about three inches above the desk surface. I also like the clamp which hold the picture at the top.I am not so sure I will use the paintbrush holder. Most of my brushes have smaller handles than the holes, but it is nice in case I may need them. To tell the truth I put my brushes on my paint bucket anyway, then in their carrying case when not in use.It arrived quickly and in good condition. So far, all I have done with it it open it up, set it up to make sure it works, then put it back in it's handy carrying case.The paint bucket on the picture can be bought at any art supply store for a reasonable price.. (Possibly even from one of the stores here.) For $[$] I would not expect it to have any extras.So I like it, it works, and it did not break the bank.

I love these. I use them to hold pegboard at craft shows. Very stable, easy to put up, take down, and transport.

The ease of use of the legs is reminiscent of expensive camera tripods. The tray is simple to attach and detach. The adjustable canvas clip at the top is simple to operate, but it could confuse a user who is in a hurry and doesn't first study the mechanism. The legs are sturdy; the clip and adjusting rod are not notably sturdy.
