Q1: I see this has a locking paper holder. Where is the paper held and does it drop down over the boards?

A: The paper is held in the middle of the easel in between the 2 drawing boards. The paper will feed through the back and thread through the top so that it drops down over the boards. If you look at the alternate images there is a better image of the side with paper included.

Q2: Is this magnetic?

A: This easel is not magnetic.
