I have destroyed at least 5 easels in three years, that was before I bought this easel. I've had mine for 20 years. The only thing bad I can say about it.. I ran into it barefooted, broke my little toe a couple years ago. Easel won. It has taken years of abuse, and is still structurally as sound as the day I bought it. I do wish, the slide opening holes on either side of the tray, that holds the supports, had a slide in shelf. I can never have enough flat space around my easel to put stuff on.

Its stable, solid, I've only had it tip over ONCE, and that was when the cat landed on the side tray attached to it. (this cat is huge, normal cat wouldn't be able to do that.)

This was great -- it does just what it's supposed to. The only quibble is the lamp: very cheap manufacture that you can crush with your hand. I will probably eventually replace it but that should not be necessary.
