It's like someone took the measurements of a large easle and built one a third of the size without considering how it would be as a whole. A waste of wood and time to make, not to mention my money! The "shelves" are too small no lip either to hold a support. It's only tall enough if the artist is 5' or less. The only way I could salvage this easel was to change it so it does not adjust except up and down like any easel. My husband has to build shelves for it, so it's not even usable as it is. (I didn't want to give it one star, but I couldn't submit without it)

This is a great deal, [...] and good price. It needs installation but it's easier then and [...] shelfs.Very good weight. Stable so far. It's a good choice for home. it hold more then enough size of canvas. Very good material,You can do different angles with it. But if you are a hard core painter and working with huge sizes, you might need more heavier easel. This is my first easel for home but I used different easels at the art school. It's better then them.

I bought this easel for my boyfriend, a painter who paints large pieces on wood. This easel goes big, but also works for more modest size pieces. And it's georgeous. He loves it too. I would highly recommend this to anyone.
